Audiophile moving magnet phonostage at a very affordable price.
The aim when designing the Simplex was to create a fantastic sounding MM-only phonostage at the best possible price.  The circuit is exactly the same as the MM section of the award-winning Rialto.  It has the same circuit and the same components, it simply omits the Rialto's LOMC capability.
It uses a fully discrete transistor circuit operating in Class A rather than one of the more common op-amp circuits, and it uses audiophile polypropylene capacitors and 1% tolerance resistors.
This is a great-sounding audiophile bargain.
